Silent Retreat – Opus Angelorum – San Antonio, Texas

Encountering Christ
When we participate in a silent retreat, we withdraw from our activities, from our environments, from our dealings with the world for a couple of days to be alone with God in prayer. All of us need time to be alone with God, in order to widen our souls for the streams of God’s grace, so that we can live out our lives more perfectly according to God’s will. God must become more and more the source and the goal of our daily lives. In fact, our entire Christian life must spring from an intimate union with Christ, and be ordered to this union. All we do should be by the strength of God and for the love of God. At silent retreats, God wishes to give us these special graces.
Through retreats and parish missions, the priests of the Opus Angelorum lead the faithful to a more conscious collaboration with the holy angels in daily life for their own personal sanctification, the salvation of souls and the sanctification of priests.

7:15 pm Introductory Conference (Silence Begins). Opportunity for Confession.
9:00 pm Passio Domini: Holy Mass followed by Holy Hour 10-11 pm. Opportunity for silent Adoration until midnight.
FRIDAY
7:10 am Lauds
7:30 am Holy Mass (10 minute silent thanksgiving until St. Michael Prayer)
8:30 am Breakfast
9:30 am Conference followed by Confessions.
11:30 am Lunch
12:00 pm Passio Domini. Opportunity for Silent Adoration with Rosary at 12:30.
2 – 3 pm Stations of the Cross. Divine Mercy Chaplet. Benediction.
4:15 pm Conference
5:40 pm Vespers
6:00 pm Dinner
7:30 pm Conference followed by Compline.
SATURDAY
7:10 am Lauds
7:30 am Holy Mass (10 minute silent thanksgiving until St. Michael Prayer)
8:30 am Breakfast
9:15 am Conference
10:45 am Conference
12:00 pm Lunch
2:00 pm Opportunity for Silent Adoration.
3:00 pm Divine Mercy Chaplet. Rosary. Benediction.
