Healing Prayer and
Intercessory Prayer Apostolate
The Healing Prayer Apostolate at the Cathedral began on December 7, 2009! We are so grateful to have been praying with you for 13 years. We are now offering a few more opportunities of healing prayer in order to make it more frequently available to you, your family and your friends. Why Come for Healing Prayer?
For PHYSICAL HEALING (for our sick bodies)
For INNER HEALING (for our wounded emotions caused by childhood traumas, abuse or past hurts, depression, addictive behavior, etc.)
For SPIRITUAL HEALING (for our broken spirits-mind and will, in preparation for Confession, after Confession, etc.)
For COMFORT (suffering losses, grief, loneliness, hopelessness, etc.)
For SPECIAL INTENTIONS (employment, infertility, healing of relationships, healing after a divorce, healing after a miscarriage, healing after an abortion, etc.)
For WHATEVER YOU WANT SUPPORT WITH IN PRAYER.Intercessory Prayer and Healing Prayer gathering every Monday, 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the St. Bridget Room (across from the Parish Office). We gather around a table for a Scripture reading and reflection, voice our individual needs, and offer hands on healing prayer for anyone who is requesting. Let us know what your prayer intentions are by writing them down in the prayer book located in the Narthex (the west entrance of the church). We will pray for your intentions each week! All are welcome!
Intercession is a prayer of petition which leads us to pray as Jesus did. The Holy Spirit “himself intercedes for us…and intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”
– CCC 2634Healing Prayer one Saturday morning a month from 9:00 to 11:00 AM in the northeast corner of the Cathedral Church (while Confessions are taking place). One person at a time will pray with a two-person Prayer Team. Watch the bulletin for each month’s date. All are welcome!
