Envision is a ministry that practices Ignatian prayer. This tradition of prayer comes to us from the writings of St Ignatius of Loyola and has been used by Christians for nearly 500 years to grow in holiness and devotion to Jesus Christ.  The pray-er encounters Christ through praying with the scriptures and imaginatively entering into the scene. Wherever you are in your prayer life, practicing Ignatian prayer will help you grow closer to Jesus Christ.

Envision meets on Tuesday Nights at 7pm in the Christy Center from January 30 – April 9th.

Envision is an introduction to Ignatian prayer. The pray-er meditates on scriptures related to Christian virtue with guidance from St Ignatius, other notable saints and the Catechism.

After each week of meditating on a virtue and accompanying scriptures, participants come together and share how God has moved in their prayer time.  The Holy Spirit moves in the prayer of Faith Sharing uniquely to each individual, as other group members listen and reflect without comment.

Participants can expect:
·       A weekly Ignatian spiritual exercise
·       Daily scriptures for meditation
·       Guidance from the wisdom of St Ignatius
·       Weekly faith sharing

For those who wish to continue their development of Ignatian Prayer after completing the Envision course, they can continue on to Lord, Teach Me to Pray Part 2: Ignatian Spiritual Exercises and Part 3: Ignatian Discernment of Spirits. There is no obligation to continue past Envision, but Envision is a prerequisite for Part 2.
