April 21, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - April 23, 2023 @ 10:00 am

The Devil is Real and Grappling for Your Soul

Fr. Matthew Pawlikowski was born and raised in New Jersey, the youngest of John & Rita’s seven children: five boys and two girls. He graduated from West Point in 1986 and was commissioned an Infantry officer. He served at Ft. Benning, Georgia; Uijeongbu (wee-jong-BOO), Korea; and Fort Bragg, North Carolina (home of the 82nd Airborne Division).

He was ordained a priest in 1997 and was assigned to a parish for three years. When he re-entered active duty, he was sent to Ft. Bragg, later serving in Sinai, Egypt as part of a Multinational Peacekeeping Force. He has been a part of an amazing journey in his priesthood, leading pilgrimages to Mount Sinai, Cairo, lending help after the earthquake in Haiti, even leading a pilgrimage of soldiers on a 60 mile hike to honor Fr. Emil Kapaun, Chaplain and Medal of Honor recipient from the Korean War.

An Army veteran, Father Pawlikowski has been awarded the Bronze Star, is a senior parachutist, and ranger qualified. He retired in 2020 and is currently at West Point as a civilian chaplain. In 2015, Fr. Pawlikowski was assigned as a senior chaplain at West Point, the first Catholic to serve in this postion. He continued for five years until his retirement.  He continued to serve as a Department of the Army civilian senior Chaplain to the US Corps of Cadets.
