No tickets are sold at the door.
Tickets are $18 and must be purchased in advance to secure your reservation. Your check will serve as your receipt and for all registrations, we will have an electronic record of your purchase and your name tag at the door.
Tickets for priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters are complimentary, but reservations are required. Contact our co-coordinator, Cathy Cato at 480-364-5209.
Our Guest Speaker: Dr. Maria Chavira
Dr. Maria R. Chavira has served the Diocese of Phoenix as the Chancellor since 2013. In her role as the Chancellor, she assists the bishop in the oversight of the official archives of the Diocese of Phoenix in accord with Canon Law. Dr. Chavira also assists in planning and is a key member of the administrative leadership staff of the bishop, giving counsel in various ecclesial, communication, and business matters. Dr. Chavira oversees the chancery staff at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Relief Services, the Propagation of the Faith, Catholic Schools, Kino, and Mental Health Ministry. Most recently she was appointed as Vice Moderator of the Curia who is responsible for the management of the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
Prior to her appointment as the Chancellor for the Diocese of Phoenix, Dr. Chavira was a full-time professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Mesa Community College for over 18 years, Assistant to the Associate Executive Director for Academic and Student Affairs at the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), Minority Student Recruitment for the Admissions Office of the University of Arizona and other positions. Dr. Chavira’s love of teaching put her back in the classroom as an adjunct professor for Mesa Community College in 2019. Dr. Chavira has been involved in her community as a Dame in The Sovereign Order of Malta, Equestrian Order of the Knights and Dames of the Holy Sepulcher, Board of Directors for Catholic Charities, Hispanic Chamber, Kino Border Initiative, Downtown Phoenix Partnerships, and served as chairman of the board of the Catholic Community Foundation. She currently lives in Phoenix with her husband Deacon Billy Chavira and their three children, Michael, Matthew, and Miranda.
